Man oh man do we love to meal prep this Steak and Cabbage Stir-Fry recipe! Perfect for lunch or even dinner because it makes a ton! If you want to get real fancy you could easily add different kinds of cabbage to this dish for even more favor. We like to think of it as a egg roll without the wrap.
What you will need to make this Steak and Cabbage Stir-Fry Recipe:
Heat a large skillet or wok over medium high heat. To the skillet add your meat, on this night I substituted steak but you could add any that you like or omit it completely. Cook until your desired taste and move it to the outside edge of the skillet. Some people use a wok but mine was in the dishwasher so I used an oven pan and it worked just fine.
Next, add the green onions to the center of the skillet, stir for 1 minute, stirring occasionally, until they are slightly tender. Move them to the outer edge of the skillet. Add the green cabbage to the center of the skillet, stir for 1 minute until the cabbage is slightly tender, and then move it to the outer edge of the skillet. Repeat the stir-frying process with the carrots. When the fragrance of the dish start to come above add your ginger powder. After about 1 minute, push all the ingredients from the edge of the skillet to the center and stir everything. Next I add a stir fry sauce. I did include one above if you are interested. It is one I found on the inter-webs and we enjoys it. Just mix all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk then add to your dish once fully cooked.
