Baked Sour Cream Glazed Muffin

My teenager just loves these Baked Sour Cream Glazed Muffins. He loved them so much he brought them to school to share with his buddies. Everything about this recipe in my mind is easy and chances are you have everything in your pantry already to make them. A perfect dessert for school, work, lunches or an after dinner snack!

Ingredients

What you will need to make these Baked Sour Cream Glazed Muffins:

For the Muffins:

2 1/4 cups flour

1/4 tsp. salt

2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

1/4 tsp. Baking Soda

3/4 cup sugar

2 eggs

1 cup Sour Cream

1/2 cup butter

1 Tbs. Vanilla extract

For the glaze:

1 1/2 Cups of Powdered Sugar

2 Tbs. Milk

1/8 tsp. Vanilla extract

Whipping up muffin ingredients

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease your muffin pan or add liners. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda and sugar ( all dry ingredients first). Next, add your eggs, sour cream, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Fold everything together until combined.

Next, divide the muffin mixture between the 12 muffin areas on your oven pan. I set these aside for a few minutes before baking to help get that rounded muffin top. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until cook all the way through. I usually check with a tooth pick! Once full cooked let set for at least 5 minutes.

To make the glaze simple whisk up the ingredients shown above in a small bowl. Drizzle on the muffins after they have cooled as desired.
