The botanical garden is home to dozens of gorgeous plants, shrubs, and flowers, with much to see and experience firsthand while visiting. The public garden stretches for 50 acres and is the perfect spot to visit if you’re up for a day of exploring and admiring the natural beauty that Earth has to offer. You can check out both the formal and informal gardens and the historic mansion built on the premises.
Things to Know Before You Visit Sonnenberg Gardens
● Sonnenberg Gardens is open to the public between the months of May and October. If you’re planning a trip to the area and want to see this gorgeous garden, be sure to do so during the Spring, Summer, or Fall before it closes for the winter!
● The garden opens to the public at 9:30 AM and closes at 4:30. If you get there early, you can enjoy the experience even more by beating the crowds and having most of the grounds to yourself.
● Make sure you plan a visit anywhere between Thursday and Monday because the spacious park is closed to the public on Tuesday and Wednesday of each week.
● While access to this historical park isn’t free, it’s super affordable. Tickets often cost as low as $15 and are worth it for such a relaxing and enjoyable experience. You’ll love a trip to this hot spot if you love gardens!
