Full review of the Saranac Waterfront lodge

Saranac Waterfront lodge

Last week, you might have read my “Let’s escape to the Adirondack Mountains for the weekend” article. Today, I wanted to go a little more in depth and actually write a full review of the Saranac Waterfront lodge and why we stayed there. We met so many great people on our trip to the Adirondack Mountains! ⁣I can’t tell you how much I needed the break with my small family trio. Anyone else feeling the busy bug syndrome as school ends? Is it causing you stress? Just me? We are also getting SUPER close to my not so little guy becoming a teenager. Time is flying by and I’m trying to adjust quickly. Deep breathes. When I say this past weekend’s trip was NEEDED honey I mean it!!

“Please be a traveler, not a tourist. Try new things, meet new people, and look beyond what’s right in front of you. Those are the keys to understanding this amazing world we live in.” ― Andrew Zimmern

I was given a complimentary stay/tickets to help facilitate my review. I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way, All opinions are my own.

When visiting the Adirondack area you want somewhere centrally located. I found that the Saranac Waterfront lodge was not only the perfect location but beautiful! We saw two weddings set up, happen and then setup for the nest one. I mean if that doesn’t explain the views and beauty of this place. If you are booking I would highly recommend a room with a lakefront view. Those sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. Although listen if you want to sleep in by all means do it!

The outside area have fire pits, corn hole and even a kiosk where you can rent things like kayaks and boats. Honestly, it gives off the feeling of those Southern resorts where everything is on the property or extremely close by.

The new restaurant was not open yet but if the Boat House was any indication of what it will be like, it’s worth the wait. We had a lovely staff experience at our meals and can I just saw that truly makes things memorable. Get the right staff that are friendly, attentive but not over bearing and you my friends have a great time no matter what time it is! We even hustled in one morning running a tad bit late for our early morning scenic flight and they got us in fed and out without any hitches.

Remember that being centrally located? The shot above was taken from our scenic flight and gosh I couldn’t recommend that enough either. The whole area from Lake Placid to Saranac has a little something for everyone. If you want to hop our for the day or stay in the hotel you can seriously be adventurous or relax it has it all.

Let’s talk about the price because that is one of the first questions I get asked when traveling. When it is high peek season the price for rooms are typically more. They also have less availability because as I stated they host many weddings. I have stayed at several places and honestly you get what you pay for. The rooms might be a tad more expensive then a “Mom & Pop” motel but again that comes with more advantages. Everything is located near you. They have food, attractions and the pool right on the grounds saving you gas money. The hot tub was the LARGEST one I have ever been in, ok…. Perk for me! I felt it was priced well for what you get and I would recommend and stay here when visiting the area again.
