Having quality ingredients in my kitchen truly helps my creativity flow. Today’s Italian recipe features a new product, EVOO brand Le Stagioni d’ Italia. This 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil can be used for a wide range of dishes but I am focusing on it’s high smoking point of 400°F. Making it suitable for cooking or baking; in this case we are making a Italian Sausage Fettuccine Recipe.
Harvested in Italy, it is vegan, gluten free, and contains no additives or preservatives! I could use the delicate oil for salad dressings or as a condiment over mild foods, like vegetables, fish, eggs, or potatoes. Today, I am pairing it with hearty foods that can stand up to the intense flavor. This was a great way to celebrate the Flavor Your Life campaign! By trying to educate North American consumers about authentic extra virgin olive oil from Europe we are empowering ourselves to make informed decisions. I love to learn the rich history as well as enjoy the delicious properties these oils add to any dish. I hope you also flavor your life and try creating this dish as well!
What you will need to make this Italian Sausage Fettuccine Recipe :
1 Small onion, diced
3 oz. Peas
8 oz. Cooked Fettuccine
1 Can of Alfredo Sauce
1 tsp. Italian Seasoning Blend
½ fl. oz. Garlic Oil
8 oz. Italian Pork Sausage Links
1 oz. Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 can of diced Tomatoes
Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. of our 100% % Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil, diced onion and Italian sausage to your hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and it is cooked through.
Next, we want to add our other ingredients. Gently dump the can of tomatoes, garlic oil, alfredo sauce, peas and 1/4 cup water. Stir constantly to completely mix the sauce together.
Add cooked pasta to the dish and lower your heat. Once the dish is mixed and starts to simmer remove from heat. You will notice the sauce will start to thicken.
We plated ours with parmesan cheese, you could also add red pepper flakes.
The flavor of this dish is perfectly paired with how easy it is to create. I highly recommend you give this 100% Italian Extra Virgin Olive Oil a try in your kitchen.
