“Some of the best memories are made in flip-flops (Kellie Elmore)”. Enjoy some fun things to do in Western New York!
My family and I enjoyed opening night of the Gerry Rodeo in Western New York. This is a long standing tradition in my family. I have pictures going to this rodeo ever since I was a baby. I remember eating the rodeo dinner with my relatives that are no longer with us. Now we pass the tradition down to the next generation by taking them. I started to think how many people actually know about many of the fun places we visit? Why not share some fun activities in Western New York?
Here are some great suggestions and our experiences:
1. Last year, I started a little fun trip tradition with my son to the Sunflowers of Sanborn. Enjoy our visit to the Sunflower fields in Sanborn, New York.
2. Long Point State Park on Lake Chautauqua, New York

Have some great Summer activities we could do in Western New York?? Let us know below! I LOVE finding new places to explore and adding more memories to our Summer.
I have only been to Western New York once, actually Northwest part near the Finger Lakes. It was really nice and not the New York I expected (When I was younger, I thought the state was like the city. But I was proven wrong). I would love to go back someday.
So much fun!! Looks like there is so much to do here!!
Looks like a beautiful place to visit!
I am so here for this, looks like a great area to check out!
Having lived in Buffalo NY for a while, I have been to many of these places. I recently took my kids to Buffalo and I was SO bummed that Albright Knox is closed for construction 🙁
I left NY 3 years ago and this post brings sweet memories.
