Tips for Visiting the Zoo, Zoological park in Erie, Pennsylvania: “People forget the good that zoos do. If it weren’t for the zoos, we would have so many species that would be extinct today.” – Betty White
With plans to spend more time outdoors, I’ve started spending a lot of time at the local zoo. I’ve even traveled to other states to visit their zoos. Some places have more exhibit than others, but none have disappointed me yet. If you’re looking to do more outdoor activities, and you’d like to see animals while you’re at it, you should start visiting the zoo.
Tips for visiting the zoo:
● Try to visit during the week. If you don’t have work on a weekday, make it a priority to visit the zoo that day. While you can visit any day of the week, it’s normal for zoos to become crowded during the weekends when most people are off from work and school. You’ll have more space to move around and see the exhibits that you’re interested in the most.
● Pack a lunch. Why waste money on expensive food and spend a long time waiting in a line? If you’re there to see the animals, you’re better off packing a lunch and eating it at one of the open dining areas. You’ll save time, keep your family fed, and have more time to walk around the zoo looking at different exhibits.
● Take pictures. Be sure to take as many pictures as possible. You never know what exciting things you’ll see. You might catch many wild animals when they’re at their best and are enjoying all the attention they’re receiving. You’ll love having these photos to look back on in the future.
