Before Covid-19 hit New York, I had a membership to a gym. It was the first time in my life that I took an action towards the healthier lifestyle I always wanted! During quarantine we were encouraged to walk, hike and run. I found solace in being in nature and walking daily with my son!
When adding the techniques of Always Eat After 7 PM you start to see a change in your behavior. Before all of this I never ate breakfast! Now, I make it a point to eat breakfast from the list provided in the book. it seems like such a small change but let me tell you it makes a world of difference. I am no longer over eating at lunch and dinner by skipping breakfast!
“Your body follows a circadian rhythm—an internal metabolic clock—in which hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day. Cortisol is one of these hormones. Under normal circumstances, it is naturally elevated in the morning to get you alert and ready to go. Over the course of the day, it naturally falls. As cortisol drops, the sleep hormones, melatonin and serotonin, rise. They, along with growth hormones, support nightly healing and repair, helping us look and feel younger.”
