If you were to ask anyone about my baking abilities they would tell you I did NOT inherit my mother’s gift. She can taste a dessert and recreate it without a recipe. From cookies to pies the women can seriously do it ALL! That does not however mean I don’t TRY to bake from time to time. Who doesn’t like eating raw cookie dough?? Or whip up a batch of some Chocolate Chip cookies?? We have been trying out a few “Chewy” recipes and I think this one is our favorite!!
What you will need:
3 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups Milk chocolate chips
Place the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together into a bowl.
After you can beat the butter, brown sugar and sugar in a bowl until fluffy (roughly 4 minutes). Then, beat in the eggs and vanilla. Add the flour mixture and beat until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
Place plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dough and refrigerate at least 1 hour or preferably overnight.
When you are ready to bake the cookie dough preheat to 375 degrees F. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake until the cookies are golden around the edges but still soft in the middle (12 minutes).
Remove the cookies from the oven and let cool 10 minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to racks to cool completely. I use these cooling racks…AMAZING, Check them out here.
This particular recipe leaves them nice and gooey in the middle!!
Serve & Enjoy!!
How do you like your Chocolate Chip cookies, Chewy or hard??
