Viking inspired Birthday Invites #HPSmartMom

Most people would consider me a “crafty” person. Personally, I think anyone can go online or Pinterest and get “Crafty”. Whether it is a talent or not printing your own invites is so easy. I swear anyone can do it and all it takes are your phone/laptop and printer. We have the HP Envy printer for reference.

I received the products in this post from the wonderful HP, as part of HP Smart Moms Panel, with Mom Select.

My son wanted a “Viking” themed party this year and like most years I couldn’t find invites for it. I decided to head over to Hp and explore their templates. Although they did not have any pre-made ones they had a fun “Make your own” feature that appealed to me. I simply loaded a photo of my son, pictured above. Wrote out all the details of the party and as my son would say “BOOM” done.

Next I loaded our Cards into the printer and hit print! I got a Card & invitation kit for this project because I felt it was easier to make at home. Since I did it at home I also was able to customize it with a picture of my son, perfect for the grandparents to store and keep as keepsakes.

Next we wrote my cell number on the back of each one for a RSVP contact. Stuck them in envelopes and placed Nautical stickers on the back.

That was it. This took us about 10-15 minutes from start to finish. I spent longer searching around town for Viking themed invites. It is so much easier to print at home and more cost effective in the long run!

The 6 and 4 year old would probably love a viking theme birthday party. Never printed my own invites before. You did a great job explaining how it all works so we can make our own.

You did a great job! I always make birthday invites myself. They are much more personalized and a lot cheaper than ordering them. What a fun theme!

What a fun birthday party theme! You could totally incorporate dragons into a similar theme as well.

It is really tough to find mass produced invites in unique themes, so creating and printing your own is a great solution. Yours turned out so adorable and I love the viking theme!

What a creative party theme! You are right, buying them in the store is pretty expensive, plus they don't always have something that fits the party theme.

The Viking motif on the invites is really cool. The kids are gonna love it and this will build up excitement for the party even before it has started.

Those are cute invites. I love designing my own things (I'm pretty crafty) and I need to invest in a new printer. I love how you can just print your own cards like that. I think I will have to look into a new HP printer. I just have a small basic one.
