Our Stay at 1837 Cobblestone Cottage Bed & Breakfast

Have you ever needed to take a break? Just shut off your phone, close your laptop and relax? After a stressful couple of months with a major health scare with or son we needed just that! To rest, relax, recharge and reconnect. I searched around our area and found the 1837 Cobblestone Cottage bed & breakfast! Nothing could have really prepared me for the weekend we were about to have.

The establishment sits alongside the Canandaigua Lake and is minutes from downtown. As we drove up the driveway to check in I saw some deer in the yard! I knew this would be the place to leave my technology aside and explore!

I threw my small bag, I packed, in our room and was ready to recharge my batteries by relaxing with a cup of coffee on the front porch!

Everyone has asked us if this place is real? The answer is YES! The pictures I will be sharing will never do it justice because this place is not only breathtaking but so inviting!

You immediately feel welcome and at home.

After meeting Kathy, we were greeted with freshly baked cookies!

The decor is a tradition style and I have to say I wanted to take it home with us!

Each room is cozy, comfortable and easy to sit and relax with your spouse, friends or other guests!

On this particular stay we were in the “Honeymoon Cottage”.

I was pleasantly surprised by a skeleton key on our ring. I just love these and they are hard to find in the age of electronic scanning card door openers!

Our rooms decor was simple, but well thought out. The color choice was so relaxing that I have contemplated actually painting our bedroom the same color!

Sprawling out on our king size bed and watching Food Network until the wee hours became our norm!

Soaking in the deep tub after walking around and exploring different wineries was also a plus!

In the mornings we enjoy coffee freshly brewed as we waited for a small feast!

First up, we were served homemade Blueberry muffins. Hands down one of the best I have had and boy do I crave them now that our stay is over with.

Do I even need to tell you how fabulous our breakfast was?? Or does this picture work it’s magic? Think: candied bacon, French toast with maple syrup……..

We finished off with a strawberry dessert. For a self-taught cook Kathy and Joe left this Food judge speechless. I would quite honestly drive the three hours just for it!

While most of my reviews include what we did on our trip I felt this particular one won’t. I will write a “Things to do in Canandaigua, NY” post soon! Since so many people asked about our weekend and where we stayed I felt I truly needed to highlight this location! It is not everyday I would do this but I truly feel this business has earned it in my book. If you are lucky enough to be blessed with a stay here you will not soon forget it. Perfect for anniversaries, couple getaway or just to rest and recharge I could not recommend them more!

B&B's are the best when you need to get away and recharge! They are always so calming and relaxing and most of them really encourage you to "unplug". Cobblestone Cottage is absolutely gorgeous and I'm glad you really enjoyed your stay.
