6 Things to Excite you about Spring

 After months and months of snow I am starting to see the end of the dark dreary tunnel. I think we have all been here! When is the sun going to shine and the weather going to warm up? I have a few things getting be into the Spring time mind set and the weather seems to be looking up! If you are still in the winter blue rut these just might brighten your day.

On March 28th, 2017 Fantastic Beasts and where to find them came out on DVD! You may not be a avid wizarding fan like us but this was pretty awesome in our books! Now we can watch from the comforts of our home on repeat! Even more exciting? They released the knowledge of more Fantastic Beast movies to come on Twitter. Talk about MAGICAL!!

Just in case that was not enough wizarding news for you muggles, we have also discovered the FREE Fantastic Beasts app. My son has been brushing up on his search and find skills while solving Beast case files! This is perfect for children or adults because the goals get harder as you level up!

My third reason for the season are my new MotoZ Force device and Hasselblad zoom attachment camera! Talk about all things techno! I have been an avid iphone user so switching to this new device was a bit challenging. I was not brought up a quiter and with a quick trip to my local store I was downloading apps and working the new camera like a pro. I currently only use this phone and I have to say some of the features are almost deal breakers moving forward because I enjoy them so much. I do not think I could back to the days of unfocused photos, blurry selfies or video without the slow motion feature!

First up the Hasselblad zoom attachment. It retails for about the price of a digital camera so the million dollar question: is it worth it? In my opinion YES! For this phone this attachment is worth it. Will it replace my Lumix GF5 I shoot for my posts I wouldn’t go all that far. I will say though if you are into sharp quality photos just load the google photos app to not only back up your photos but also take advantage of the photo filters! These make this attachment easily comparable to professional lens and or photo-shop software! The photo taken above was on a dark, dreary winter day using my Hasselblad zoom attachment and a Google Photo filter. The quality and crisp image makes a everyday scene look like a piece of gallery art.

The MotoZ Force device and I have had our differences. Like I said switching from a iphone forced me to really relearn operating systems all over again. Once you do though this phone is easy to operate and offer some great features. Hands down my personal favorite are the slow motion video option!

I have never had a phone that had this feature and I think honestly I don’t think I could go back to not having it. I love taking videos and adjusting the slow motion feature. You can move it to any part of your video and customize how much or how little you want in slow motion. This would be a great addition to family videos and or create video CD gifts for later on in the year!

My last two things to get you in the Spring fever are tulips and Veronica Roth’s new book: Carve the Mark. My flowers are starting to come up and I am all about them! After months of muddy grounds and no greenery it will be nice to see life filter back into our area. I can see myself soon drinking my coffee on my front porch while hanging on ever page of my new book! Veronica Roth is the author of the Divergent series. It was so popular it came out with movies! I have a feeling this book will be just as good and I am so excited to read it!
