Visiting Washington D.C.? I would suggest staying in Georgetown area, as it sits right by the downtown area and has easy access to transportation. This will help with convenience and overnight parking! The Fairmont Washington has all the amenities for your family and is luxurious to say the very least!!
The grounds were by far sophisticated, inviting and clean. Just type the address into your GPS and you will have no problems finding the place. They also have valet parking and will take your luggage to your room.
We had the pleasure of staying in a completely renovated, Fairmont Gold suite with a garden balcony overlook. If you have a family this is perfect! They truly spared no expense with the furnishings and attention to details. Enjoy chairs, desk, built ins, coffee/bar and view.
The sliding doors open to this…
Listen to birds sing and enjoy the weather by leaving the curtains drawn and window open.
Coffee anyone? We all know how much I am a avid coffee addict. Enjoy some in your room or visit the Gold Members lounge!
Pamper yourself in the modern style bathroom.
Complete with Rose 31 toiletries.
After a full day of walking around the Capital this shower soothes any achy body parts let me tell you!
Just slip on a robe and enjoy a luxury rest.
Stay in and order room service or enjoy dinner at the Juniper Restaurant.
We enjoyed a our meals in the restaurant so much, I decided to share my review in another post….
Not quite ready to venture to the restaurant? Enjoy the extra luxuries Fairmont Gold has to offer. Remember that lounge I was taking about? They serve breakfast, snacks, hors d’ oeuvres and best of all dessert!
The food was enjoyable and we found ourselves staying in rather then venturing out to try the new delights being offered.
Another great perk I have never come across candy jars!! I have such a sweet tooth and every night was different selections to choose from.
Ready for a late night snack or celebrating a special occasion? Order some of the many great room services. They are not only artistically pleasing but they also taste divine.
Having some chilled wine after a long day of walking between monuments and parading through museums was a welcome treat!
Nothing says “Welcome” to Washington D.C. then a stay at the Fairmont.
The staff was so attentive, delightful and looked genuinely happy to work there.
We personally will be staying again when visiting town.
