If you do happen to go out of the St. Augustine Historic district they have several must-see places. The Saint Augustine Lighthouse and Museum has always been on our list to visit. This year we finally had the chance, here are some of our experiences whilst there.
We got extra lucky and parked right upfront. After we walked through the gift shop and got our tickets we walked out back. The trail leads to a play area for children and this magnificent sight.
My son was so excited to climb this beauty!
Enjoy walking up 219 steps. Hahahaha, enjoy….. these steps seem like no big deal but halfway up you realize whether you are in shape or not!
As you walk up you get a glimpse of the views to come.
They have benches along the way if you need them.
After all that walking prepare for the wind. It happened to be a windy day so we dressed appropriately. Even though the trip up the stairs can be tiring the views from the top are breath taking! They also say it is one of the most haunted places, let us know if you agree with that! We went during the day so no supernatural sightings to report here! This was such a treat to visit the Lighthouse. I highly recommend a trip if you have not already gone!

This is a very beautiful lighthouse and grounds. I ended up getting the tickets online while looking in the gift shop since you get 15% off by doing so and using the promo code of LH15. Very confrontational Mr Poppins thinking he has more authority than he really does and threatening people for filming in a public park. Not illegal. Not near the lighthouse.
