Ever since my son was a year and a half he has not been able to digest more than 9 grams of sugar in a sitting. At first this was a shock because everything has sugar in it, right? We researched and learned how to make all of our favorite dishes excluding the sugar. Holidays like Valentine’s, Halloween and Easter can be very difficult since they are based highly on giving out candy. Here are two Easter Basket ideas without candy!
I would suggest collecting stuff when it goes on sale or after season to save the most money! Or hover around the $1 spot at Target! I collected a few of these at yard sales, Dollar tree and Target.
Also, I always include a book. This year I included a board book for my Niece and a chapter book for my 6 year old. I found these at a yard sale never been used!!
Then have fun stuffing a basket full of non candy goodies. There really is no “right” way to do this! I even used a after clearance Christmas basket…. savings!
I have to mention these fun Emoji Easter eggs I found on Amazon. They are so fun and my son LOVES emoji icons, I just had to add them, ha!
This is my sons Easter basket in it’s entirety. We will not be home so I arranged it early and will just set it out for when we come back. Also, I used a box, instead of a basket, for his because I gave him some heavy Sketch books and coloring books. I wanted the weight to hold. Even though it does not have a piece of candy in it, he will LOVE it just the same!
Great ideas! Will have to consider them for my great grand son! ๐
These are terrific alternatives! We are trying to cut down on the candy and I will definitely be using a few of these ideas.

I always include a book too! There's so many options out there that you don't even need candy to make one awesome basket!
