We decided to take our little knight to a Medieval Faire in Geneva, Ohio for some royal fun! I went when I was younger and knew he would really enjoy the whole experience.

I suggest getting there early as this is a popular destination for Pirates, Lords, Knights, fairies and more. The line to get in can be long so arrive early. They have some great photo props to keep you busy as well as fun scavenger hunt tools. So be on the look out for anyone handing them out.

Once you walk in you are transported back in time. Every Lord, knight, pirate, viking has a separate camp and show! We just happened to go during a Pirate invasion.

The people are friendly, authentic and you cannot help but join in on the fun. Authentic crafters, musicians and even blacksmith’s. They demonstrate, create and sell master pieces all created in front of your viewing pleasure.

What we enjoyed: EVERYTHING!

Different camps, shows, performers, artisans etc.

What could be Improved: Next year we will be coming in the appropriate attire maybe as Lady Mcbooks? Ha! I also would go for a weekend because it is a large place to do in one day.

Overall Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars!!

My son first got us interested in all things medieval. Now we try to attend the annual International Jousting Tournament in San diego each year. I also love how everyone really gets into their roles and makes history come alive!

How cool! I've been to the Medieval Fair once when I was a kid. I don't remember too much of it but I do remember that I liked seeing people dressed up and talk differently as well as riding the horses.

Dressing up would be so much fun! I've visited Warwick castle in England which was a bit like this, and it was just the best day out!
